Binance allows users to open long and short positions with up to 125x leverage on Binance Futures.
But, if you are a new user on Binance, you will not be able to immediately use leverage as high as 125x on Binance Futures.
For new users on Binance, the maximum leverage available is currently 20x.
After 60 days of opening your Futures account on Binance, you can open positions with higher leverage than 20x, which will gradually increase as your account ages.

In addition to a 20% (maximum) fee discount for spot, you will also automatically receive a 10% (maximum) fee discount for futures.
Besides the maximum leverage available on Binance, you might also wonder what is the maximum position size allowed on Binance.
The maximum position size available on Binance Futures varies not depending on the age of your account but your leverage and the pair you trade.
For example, for the BTCUSDT perpetual contract, you can open a maximum position of 600 million USDT at 2x leverage.
If you use a higher leverage when opening your long or short position, the maximum position size will be lower.
At 125x leverage, the maximum position size for the BTCUSDT perpetual contract is 50,000 USDT.
So the higher the leverage is, the lower the maximum position size will be. Also, it depends on the pair you trade.
For altcoins, the maximum position size is usually lower compared to BTC contracts.
For example, if you trade the AAVEUSDT perpetual contract with 2x leverage, the maximum position size will be 20 million USDT.
